How does star blazers end

SARABA, if anything, was an even huger success story than the first film, and the producers began to think they may have made a mistake in killing their golden goose. At the same time, some of them—notably cartoonist Leiji Matsumoto who was one of the co-creators of the series, was uncomfortable with the kamikaze ending of SARABA and what it was teaching the children of Japan in those postwar days.

So when the opportunity came to expand the story in a new television series, YAMATO 2, all involved say this as a chance to change fate, leaving the ship and crew alive enough at the end where further sequels would thereafter be possible. How differently? Fighting is going on between the scattered Gamilon forces and the space marine landing party.

Before you had a reason. Gamilon was doomed—ugh—you needed a new home. We had to fight you to defend Earth. But this is all past now, why go on fighting? A man who fights for his homeland fights on—even when there is no hope. As long as I live and fight, then Gamilon lives! Meanwhile, Wildstar is struggling to remain conscious and upright. And he fails, falling backwards, unconscious.

But before anything further can happen, Wildstar moans, still alive, and Nova drops her weapon to tend to him, showing her undefended back to the Gamilon leader. And he begins to speak. I thought I was different from everyone else. That my love for Gamilon was stronger and more noble than your love for Earth. Yes, the universe has been a lonely place for me.

Always alone. Yes, I fought long and hard to save Gamilon. I thought anything I did was right. There has to be a better way of life. Love is the first casualty of war. Oh yes, I know. War does not allow us to be our better selves. After everything is explained to the public, Sanada makes an impassioned plea not to betray those who saved Earth. In a world apart from time and space, Kodai has been searching for the future. Teresa shows him many possible pasts and futures, but he is unmoved.

Yuki, her memory now restored, pleads with him to come with her…but he is still unmoved. The future he has been searching for. At the start of planning, Mr. In order to incorporate all of Space Battleship Yamato , the space in which Teresa dwells beyond space and time contains images of successive generations shown as possible events. At the end, look for Dessler, Starsha and Melda on Iscandar, Yurisha and the prominent Garmillans Deitz and Hilde, the girl from the 11th planet, and the parent and child who believed in Yamato.

I know you probably know this but they have announced a sequal to the show. The yamato on late take off near an island. Tasuke Tokugowa and Kitano in navigation. I recently watched The New Voyage again and… Do you think that they will have both The New Vogae and Be Forever in a series of do a movie seperate for each like the original? Personally i want a series done, for Be Forever. I felt is too fast paced like how i felt Farewell Yamato was. Whats your take on it?

The image you found is almost certainly fan art. No official source has announced a title or timeframe yet. Until they do, assume everything is fake. Maybe with some nods to the past. It was certainly good fanart though. It was as if they took a picture directly out of the final showing or when they do that thankyou bit near the screen. The main image was also good.

I would love to see a Black Nebula and Bolar Wars remake with there own stories. I didnt find Be Forever to be that good, compared to The New Voyage, it felt too fast paced and couldve used a 12 episode series for more character development. It didnt feel as dire as the original despite the same time limit.

But with this they could even do Desslers Story and maybe a series with Berger as the main he may be my favourite Gamilan With episode 26 they open up so many possibilities, it feels like the 70s feel for Yamato is coming to the 21st. I wasnt around then so i dont know how it felt but i assume its like this. I could personally go on and on about the possibilites, maybe you could add a dedicated discussion thread to hear for all things Yamato?

So far, so good. Just dropping by to say this is the most dedicated and well made fan website for any franchise I have ever seen. Thank you all. Really do like the update. The first broadcast of Yamato was in , I saw it back then. Maybe a bit later for outside Japan?? The movie came to America in different from the Japan version.

Looking at the coming attraction scenes made me realize that some editing was done in the last episode of the 1st season. In it, a Gamilon was rushing into the cargo bay where Nova was trying to activate the CosmoDNA The Gamilon boarding party was using a radioactive gas Starsha had given them and Sandor was protesting that it might not be safe.

In the actual ep, Sandor and Nova both turn to see the Gamilon enter, but we never actually see him, and Nova ends up wounded for no readily apparant reason other than the aforementioned gas. I am certain that Sandor shot the encroaching Gamilon, but too late to prevent Nova from being hit.

There were several episodes where bodies were seen, if not the causes for their deaths. This marked it apart from anything else being shown 'for children' at this point. Considering that American animation seemed to be following the same rules that American comics were following No death, sex, excessive violence, excitement, things of interest, plot development, etc it isn't really a surprise that so many of us rushed home to watch it.

While at a meeting for my high school band, I came across several of the 'cool kids' singing the theme song together. In my area only the first 2 seasons were shown, but my wife reports that she not only got just the first, but it didn't include the final episode where they return to Earth, never mind the whole Comet Empire season. After hearing that, I didn't feel so bad about missing the 3rd season. Just as a clarifying point for my faithful readers, though one of the crewmembers reported that Sgt.

Knox had returned in another fighter, it was dubbed in. He died destroying the power center on the Comet Ship In fact, none of the Marines they brought aboard survived the season. According to a later movie, Orion the engineer also died in the final ep of the 2nd season Much to my sadness, I liked him.

Also the chief pilot, Conroy died fighting the Comet Empire, but was replaced by his identical younger brother in the 3rd Japanese series, though the American series considered him to be the same character. Nevermind that he was using a urinal when he spotted the Andremeda coming after them in the 2nd season's 5th episode. I wouldn't expect American TV to show that. I hope that the various petitions are successful in returning Star Blazers to television. While there are several interesting animated shows, with the exception of Roughnecks; the Starship Troopers Chronicles, that are merely interesting, Star Blazers was actually engrossing.

StlBlade Sep 8, FAQ How many episodes did this series have? What additional Yamato properties exist beyond those that were dubbed as Star Blazers? How does Star Blazers differ from Yamato? Details Edit. Release date September 17, United States.
